Waterfront Revitalization Area Boundary

Proposed Waterfront Revitalization Area Boundary

Each NCC LWRP community has its own proposed Waterfront Revitalization Area (WRA) boundary to include important land and features in proximity to Lake Erie, Silver Creek, Walnut Creek, Canadaway Creek, Chautauqua Creek and Twentymile Creek. These draft WRA boundaries were developed after individual discussions between Chautauqua County and each of the 10 NCC LWRP communities. The links below are draft WRA Boundary maps for each of the 10 NCC LWRP communities.

The proposed landside boundaries account for the State's existing Coastal Management Area (CMA) boundary and are not, at any point, inside of the existing CMA boundary. In addition to landside boundaries, each community has a draft waterside boundary which extends the WRA boundary into Lake Erie. Hanover, Silver Creek, the City of Dunkirk and the Town of Westfield all have draft waterside boundaries that extend 1,500 feet into Lake Erie. All the remaining NCC LWRP communities have draft waterside boundaries which extend 200 feet into Lake Erie.Â
